Cristina Corradin holds a bachelor’s degree in Geological Sciences (Padova, 2018) and a Master’s degree in Geoscience with Geophysical specialization (Trieste, 2021). She is currently completing her PhD as part of a joint program between the University of Trieste, the University of Malta, and the OGS Institute. Her research project focuses on the geological and hydrogeological modeling of the Venetian-Friulian Plain (Italy) and the Northern Adriatic Basin, with an emphasis on potential offshore freshwater resources investigation. Her research involves applying geostatistical techniques to develop a high-resolution geological model and creating a groundwater model to assess the sustainability of current onshore extraction rates, as well as the entity and potential value of offshore freshwater aquifers.
