Short BIO

Aaron Micallef is a marine geoscientist who, over the past 15 years, has analyzed a diverse range of seafloor landforms, primarily those related to erosion and deposition in continental shelf and slope environments. His work explores the interactions between these landforms and tectonics, volcanism, sea-level changes, fluid flow systems, and human activities. Aaron has participated in more than 40 oceanographic expeditions across all oceans. His findings have been published in scientific journals, presented at international conferences, and shared with the public via newspaper articles, television interviews, podcasts, video animations, and websites. Aaron holds an MSc from the University of Oxford and a PhD from the National Oceanography Centre, University of Southampton (UK).
