My work focuses on identifying and characterising pore fluids and deep groundwater in sedimentary basins, and the effects of fluid mobilization in the subsurface, using an array of geophysical and geological data, in particular seismic reflection methods. The main aims are to understand the mechanisms that allow the emplacement and expulsion of these fluids in sediments, e.g. tectonics and changes in climate, and the distribution of deep and offshore aquifers as unconventional water resources.
