Short BIO

Michela Giustiniani graduated in Earth Sciences from the University of Rome in 1999. Following her studies, she spent a year as a visiting researcher at Lancaster University, focusing on groundwater flow and transport modelling. She completed her PhD in Applied Geophysics in 2005, with a thesis on the characterization of georesources using seismic and borehole data. Throughout her career, Michela has specialized in acquiring and processing seismic data for studying both shallow and deep aquifers. Her expertise includes analyzing marine and terrestrial seismic data using advanced techniques and theoretical models to identify fluid presence. She has actively contributed to numerous EU and Italian projects investigating subsurface fluid properties. Michela was honored to present her project (LIFE-EU) at the EU, recognized as the most impactful of its call.
